FAQ's

Got a question? Maybe our frequently asked questions could provide the answers you are looking for.

Polyester is undoubtly the most durable string. It's durability can withstand the biggest of hitters. The downside is that the longer your strings last the less they maintain string tension. When you feel like the tension has reduced and your control on the ball is less, consider changing them even if they haven't broken.
The tension range is dependent upon your style of play. Low tensions (40lbs - 50lbs) provide less feel and more power. Mid tensions (50lbs - 58lbs) provide power and feel. High tensions (58lbs - 65lbs) provide less power and more control. For standard club players or players with elbow or wrist pain, we recommend the mid tension range.
We can have a racket restrung within 24hrs if it is a matter of urgency, otherwise we can complete the restring in 2-4 days. Due to demand this can vary so we encourage you to ask us the estimated time it will take before booking in your restring.
Sadly, no. When there is a small crack or hairline fracture in the frame the string tension will apply pressure to the frame and cause the frame to buckle. We review the condition of all rackets before restringing them. If you do have a broken racket and would like us to advise you on a new purchase, please don't hesitate to ask.
Yes, we are happy to recieve your racket by post. However, we will add the cost of postage/packing and shipping to our final invoice. This will add a delay in how quick the racket can be restrung as it is dependent upon delivery schedules.
All tennis rackets are professionally strung by top county and International tennis player Peter Occleshaw, a practicing and accredited LTA Level 4 Qualified Tennis coach with 40 + years racket stringing experience. We provide a free consultation and advice on which string and what tension to apply for a variety of playing styles. As a boutique business we feel we add a personal and professional service to our customers.
We are happy to investigate any claim as to why a string breaks immediately. If we feel that it is down to a flaw in the string or the service we have provided then we are more than happy to rectify the problem. Unfortunately due to a number of reasons we do not offer refunds.
